Hey friends!
Here's an update for you:
This summer was my last summer- for the next two years at least- of days unabridged by academic torture. I have once again willingly subjected myself to higher education. Moreover, my program is year round... Pursuing my masters degree in social work felt inevitable if I intended on making enough money to afford being alive. What now feels like a counter intuitive move, considering the debt I just amounted, is supposedly the next step for a social worker..so here I am.
Over the summer, I didn't create much but I did vend and make stickers! And perhaps she looks familiar? I did indeed remake/revamp my Nina Molotov drawing. I added bigger horns, fangs, and some sunnies because I was feeling the hot girl summer energy. I sold them via IG and has some leftover for next year.
Now... We are well in to fall and this semester has all but killed me. Maybe I sound melodramatic but in all seriousness, I'm not doing too well. I am trying to navigate full time work, full time school, and 16 hours of practicum/internship.. plus trying to salvage any remains of my social life or hell- my mental health. It's been rough but luckily I've had some good supports in my life helping me through it. I did manage to create some things during spooky season... More Dia de muertos focused but because they were time consuming projects, I started in early October. I'll make a separate post about those at a later time.
